You might have noticed that Wrapped Up has two main lists. The one under the left tab, People, is easy to understand: it’s all the people you’ve added to the app, people who’ve you decided are important to you and you’d like to remember the special occasions in their life.
What’s the list under the right tab, the Hot List?
First, it’s automatically generated by the app. Second, the information listed is taken from the events that you’ve entered for each person, where the date of the event is what matters. Events are both personal ones, such as birthdays, anniversaries, showers and graduation, and holidays that are celebrated by many on the same date. Finally, all the events for every person are listed in the order they occur, with the soonest first. So your friend’s January birthday will be listed before Valentine’s Day for your boyfriend. The chronological order helps you see what events are coming up and in what order.
What’s in each item?
First, a date, which is the date of the event or holiday. Then, the person who is celebrating on that day and what it is they are actually celebrating. This way you can look at the entire list and see what events you have in the next few weeks that may need gifts.
There are two other interesting features in the Hot List:
First, a press on the person’s name will pop up the list of of the gift ideas you have added for them. Pressing “MORE” on that list will open their full profile, with their hobbies, interests, favorites, and sizes.
Second, pressing the more icon on the right let’s you decide what to do with that item on your list. Have you already bought a gift? If so, either select it from the list of gift ideas or, if you bought something not on your short list, enter that. That gift will be automatically entered in that person’s gift history on their profile so you’ll know not to give that gift again. From the more icon you can also mark the event as “done,” which means you will see it grayed and crossed out on the Hot List, a reminder that you have already bought something for this event. Finally, you can delete the event from the Hot List, never to be reminded of it again . Of course, if it’s a recurring event, you’ll see it on the list for the next year.
We think the Hot List is your to-do list for gift giving.
